Denton-Powell Ltd Becomes an Accredited Living Wage Employer

We are proud to announce that Denton-Powell Ltd is now an accredited Living Wage Employer with the Living Wage Foundation.

As a family-run steel fabrication business in Somerset, our people are at the heart of what we do. Becoming a Living Wage employer reflects our commitment to fair pay and responsible employment practices, while creating a positive and supportive working environment for our employees.

What is the Real Living Wage?

The Real Living Wage is a voluntary rate of pay calculated by the Living Wage Foundation based on the actual cost of living. It is independently calculated and updated annually, providing employers with a benchmark for ensuring their employees receive a fair wage.

The Real Living Wage is different from the Government's National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage. It is a voluntary rate that employers choose to pay because they believe employees should receive a wage that reflects the cost of everyday living.

Why is the Living Wage important to Denton-Powell Ltd?

As a small, family-run business, we believe that supporting our employees is an important part of running a responsible business. Our employees' skills, commitment and experience are fundamental to the quality of work we deliver to our customers.

By voluntarily paying the Real Living Wage, we are demonstrating our commitment to:

Fair and responsible pay

Employee wellbeing

Supporting our workforce

Recruitment and retention

Creating a positive working environment

Responsible business practices

Making a positive contribution to our local community

Achieving Living Wage accreditation also provides independent recognition of our commitment to fair pay and gives our employees and customers confidence in the standards we aim to uphold.
